MEDIA TRAINING AT YOUR OFFICES
Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
All our training, coaching and consultancy is lead by experts in their field. Media Training sessions will always be lead by an experienced journalist who is also skilled at coaching. One on one sessions will typically be with one journalist. A senior content producer will join sessions where there are two or more attending, to record audio and film.
The names of all trainers/producers/consultants attending will be provided in advance.
Please advise the team at communication360 if ID documents are required to enter the building or if there are any pre-safety briefings or special requirements, to ensure we arrive in plenty of time.
All we need is:
- A meeting room – the roomier and brighter the better
- TV monitor with a physical HDMI input connection (not wireless dongle)
- Flip chart and pens – nice but not essential – check with your trainer to see if they would like these
You should treat the training session as any other meeting.
We use the smallest and most compact recording equipment possible. No big lights, no big cameras, no cables and no big tripods. The only equipment we bring is a mini iPad, MacBook Air, mini wireless microphones and the latest and smallest broadcast quality camera (which can be handheld).
Everything is fully charged and there is no need to plug anything into an electrical socket.
This means there is nothing to trip over, no PAT testing requirements or special liability insurance needs.
When arranging a meeting space, the training can be considered as a normal meeting without the need for further health and safety or risk assessments.
There are no special requirements but we know people often ask, so we would advise smart casual, clothes people feel comfortable and confident wearing. It helps to wear a top (shirt, blouse or jacket) where a microphone can be clipped and best to avoid large jangly necklaces, which may interfere with sound.
